Effects of Different Ozone Doses Added to the Antibiotic Treatment on Cytokine Levels in Experimental Sepsis Model

We aimed to examine the changes caused by ozone therapy added antibiotic treatment on proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokine levels in an experimental sepsis model formed with E. coli endotoxin. Rats were divided into 6 groups of 10 rats. Sepsis was dosing 5 rats intraperitoneal endotoxin injection. For first 3 groups, 0.6 mg/kg, 0.9 1.1 mg/kg doses group-4 only received treatment. Group-5 not treated. Group-6 serum physiologic injection simultaneously other groups. All treatments sustained for days. IL-1, IL-10, TNF-alpha detected blood taken from sacrificed day 6. It seen that are significantly lower than therapy. In comparisons amongst receiving therapy, it observed IL-1 do have a significant difference two group higher dose. There no differences between at IL-10 which is cytokine. concluded could positive effect survival rates suppressing inflammatory process.
